Print PageBonnie Selanders taught English and Latin at Newton High School for more than 36 years. She had high expectations for her students. Under her guidance the Newton High School Latin Club had more than fifty members. Her students returned to Bonnie again and again, maintaining lifelong relationships with her and keeping her apprised of their accomplishments. When Bonnie died in 2006 she left a scholarship fund for Newton students pursuing humanities, language, English or Education.
Bonnie Selanders understood the value of leaving a legacy.
