The Women of the Year program, established in 1956, has a rich tradition of honoring women whose selfless contributions enrich their communities. Each year, three women are recognized for their dedication and exceptional service in areas such as Community and Civic Service, Education, Religion, and Business.
Over the years, the program’s mission has expanded to celebrate outstanding women across Harvey County. The Women’s Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Central Kansas Community Foundation (CKCF), now oversees the program, strengthening its impact and ensuring long-term sustainability through operational support. This collaboration furthers their shared commitment to fostering leadership, amplifying community impact, and celebrating the achievements of women in Harvey County, Kansas.
Together, the Women’s Community Foundation and the Women of the Year program inspire future generations of women leaders dedicated to transforming their communities through service and vision.
