Since 1994 the face of the Community Foundation in Newton has changed. Prior to and during Sandi’s reign there has been a grand history of leaders moving local philanthropy to a new level, the merger of the Greater Newton Community Foundation and Central Kansas Community Foundation in 2007, and the commitment to rural philanthropy through the creation of 16 affiliation community foundations. Sandi is leaving CKCF position for another era of community impact as she helped grow the foundation from managing assets of 5 million to over 18 million. The charitable impact to Central Kansas organizations and individuals has vastly improved because of people like Sandi.
We hope you will join us as we wish Sandi Fruit well in her retirement and welcome Angie Baur in as our new Executive Director.
