The Central Kansas Community Foundation’s Annual Summit brings together all staff, our organizational board, and leaders from each of our 18 affiliate boards for a day of shared learning, alignment, and forward-looking strategy. This gathering is designed to strengthen our collective understanding of who we are as a network, how we operate within our host–affiliate model, and where we are headed as a regional philanthropic organization.
During the summit, we will reflect on our history by reviewing each affiliate’s unique timeline and major milestones, celebrating the growth, resilience, and community impact that define our network. We will also take a clear-eyed look at our present state—examining operational budgets, the scope of host-provided support, and the true cost of delivering the operational excellence our communities rely on.
Looking ahead, the summit will provide a space for transparent and constructive dialogue about financial sustainability across the network. This includes exploration of fee structures, cost-share models, and other strategies that ensure both the host organization and affiliates remain strong, viable partners in community philanthropy.
Ultimately, the summit’s purpose is to deepen organizational unity, strengthen shared understanding, and equip all boards and staff with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions as we chart our collective path forward. It is an opportunity to reaffirm our shared mission and ensure that, together, we are positioned to serve our communities for decades to come.
